Rigby’s Water World opened early July of last year; however, it was late enough for many to miss it in the busyness of the 3 ½ weeks between the opening of the park and the first day of school. It was the first water park to open in several years in Central Georgia since Sandy Beach Water Park in 2015—whose future remains uncertain while it is still up for sale.
Rigby’s Water World is located between Warner Robins and Perry on Ga. Hwy. 96 near Lake Joy Road about 30 to 35 minutes south of Macon adjacent to Rigby’s Entertainment Complex. With 6 different water slides, a nearly 1,600 foot (over 0.3 mile) long lazy river, a large leisure pool, and wave pool still under construction. 41NBC and 13WMAZ reported last year that the water park drew people from all around the state. The adjacent hotel, Best Western Plus at Rigby’s Water World is still under construction and set to open in Fall of 2019, according to Best Western’s website. No outside food or drink, besides clear water bottles, are allowed in the park. However, you can get your hand stamped as you leave and come back in during the same day if you want to take a lunch break.
Season passes cost $79.99. Regular admission is $25.99 for everyone 42” (3 ½ feet) and taller and $19.99 for people under 42”. Rentals of lockers, cabanas, and concessions are all additional costs.
